For this furnace were specially designed forms with complex incised ornaments on the cornices and tiles. Interesting is the origin of the ornament on the tiled frieze of the oven. For the first time we saw this ornament in the Collection of Byzantine and old Russian ornaments from the collection of Prince G. G.. Gagarin in the 1887 edition. It was a sketch of the ornament is silver frame with icons of the Saviour in Anishte XIV century.
Struck by the subtlety and complexity of the weave, we asked the customer to repeat this drawing in clay, which she approved. This is how our "Byzantine" series of tiles was born with a luxurious pattern of ornaments consisting of intertwining plant shoots and geometric shapes.
