Beige yarn - 100% Leonberger underfur with addition of beige goat underfur. Red and black yarn - 100% Leonberger underfur. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads.
These children's mittens are knitted of 100% Leonberger underfur. Underfur of this dog can be equal to silk by its softness. Leonberger is a very rare dog breed, and its underfur is considered to be exclusive in its qualities. This is ideal material for children's items, mittens, fingerless gloves, scarves, i.e. for those works which need softness.
The wool of such beautiful dog is colored by many different colors: auburn, simple red, grey, brown, cream-colored and white. Accordingly, I use Leonberger underfur of different colors too. Accurate selection of underfur can give up to five different kinds of yarn that I use for knitting. Consequently, Leonberger underfur of beige, red and grey colors can be used for knitting as for different works as for the only one that you can see on the presented mittens.
The technique of knitting the ornament makes the accessory as if it's double, as while knitting two threads are used: the first one creates the pattern, the second thread is pulled out by the back side of the item. This helps the mittens to keep more warmth.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.
