This children's baktus-snood is knitted of yarn mixture: Malamute underfur and Newfoundland dog underfur with addition of goat underfur. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads.
Baktus-snood is a modern and stylish accessory for cold season. It accomplishes two functions: collar and scarf. That means baktus guards the neck as well as the breast from wind. Baktus-snood is knitted in such a way that it can be folded inward by collar (it will be double). As a result, the work keeps warmth and fit better. This model is for girls, of course, but variants for boys are also possible. Neck is a place with high sensitivity, that is why for this work soft yarn mixture of malamute, Newfoundland dog wool and goat underfur is selected.
The main cloth is knitted by garter stitch. This is ideal for such item as it allows baktus-snood to drape itself on the neck and to sit perfectly on the shoulders. 'Tail' pattern sideways adorns the accessory harmonically. Garter stitch resembles a ribbing so the work will fit for any neck size.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.

How to keep
Washing and rinsing only in warmed water. Recommended use special wash powder for woolen clothes. After rinsing and wringing out the work should be put on cotton cloth and rolled for better drying. Beforehand the appropriate form for the work should be made. Then the work is leaved for 1-2 hours for natural moisture soak-up. Finally the work is dried up as usual. While meeting the requirements you will have the work in excellent condition for a long time.
