Magical and warm Saturday evening arrived in a small village. The weather was truly summer. A light rustle of Aspen leaves, coins and the singing of the crickets – that hushed all the sounds of nature.

The bright blue sky had not yet tremble with rare stars. White nights combined evening and morning.

In the village the long-awaited bath day. The air was filled with the smell of firewood, aspen and birch brooms.
In the Windows of the living hut was lit with warm light. A large oak table there was a samovar and all sorts of Goodies. A big family of several generations was preparing tea.

Life in the old village went on as usual.

Nature froze in anticipation of a long dawn.

The traveler stopped to listen to the silence. Something changed forever in this world. The crickets still sang, but Aspen has finally stopped shaking.

On the one hand, the tree was considered cursed. The ancient Slavs believed that in the aspen groves there are goblins, devils and other evil spirits. In the myths of ancient Greece Aspen grew in the afterlife.

The tree was a symbol of fear and indecision, therefore, continuously trembling leaves in the wind.

At the same time, Aspen was served partly good. For example, bed, and bath brooms, made of Aspen, helped to cope with various ailments.

Aspen branches, stuck in the fence, do not miss the garden of evil spirits. To fight with the impure forces used stakes.
