He was sitting on a flat stone, surrounded by some unfamiliar yellow mushrooms, playing his flute.
As I approached him carefully, he noticed me, but didn't stop playing. I stood still. It was quiet around, only wind rustled through the grass and the soft wistful tune flowed.
Finishing his play, he lowered his flute. Then suddenly he looked at me, smiling and beckoning to bow down. I did so, stretching my hand forward slowly, and when it came to touch him, he jumped right onto my palm. I stood straight, raising up my hand with the tiny piper. He turned around with fascination in his eyes to look at the meadow, dark trees in the far and the nearby river flow. He even hopped a few times on the palm of my hand, with a happy laugh.
When I put him down, he jumped on the ground and disappeared in the grass, turning just before he was gone to wave me goodbye.
This is an OOAK figurine, made from oven-baked FIMO over a solid frame and decorated with a little cloth, wool and some beads and feathers. The pedestal is made from FIMO (over a cork base), with natural stones. The tattoos on the little guy's body and the giant mushrooms are made from fluorescent FIMO and glow in the dark.
