Fusion Engine is a stunning, efficient drum carder from the Majacraft factory, New Zealand. 72 tpi for fine and semi-fine wool!
The factory's engineers have developed this machine for the best combing of wool, as well as to reduce or eliminate common carding problems that occur in other drum gimbals. It has a higher and more efficient combing coefficient than most carders, so it mixes fibers more thoroughly with fewer passes.
Due to the absence of open gears or belts and the unique design of the drum, the fibers do not fall where they should not fall, and the cleaning of the carder is minimized.
Removing the replacement drums makes this rare cleaning simple and easy.
The Fusion Engine drums use a new unique design that offers several advantages, the most obvious of which are the protruding edges that hold the fiber on the drum, so there is no clogging or tangling of the material around the axes. The special shape of the edge really helps to pull the fibers onto the drum, almost to the point that it seems as if it "pulls" the fiber inside. This, in turn, significantly reduces maintenance and cleaning costs.
An important feature is the ability to change the reels. There is no need to buy several carders for working with different types of fibers, since we offer drums with different densities of carding fabric. With the help of this universal carding machine, carding becomes much cheaper. The main drum is held by only three mounting screws, and you can change the replacement drums in a couple of minutes!
This grandiose car has a gearbox-with real gears! which gives a lot of advantages. First, it makes the mechanism for converting the ratios between the main drum and the input drum much more compact, small enough that it can be built into the side of the carder. Therefore, your carder remains clean, since the gears are hidden and will not be clogged with fiber and other debris. The gearbox also allows you to work with a much larger gear ratio in a compact space. Usually carders have a gear ratio from 3: 1 to 4: 1. The ratio in this carder is 8: 1, which ensures a more uniform mixing of fibers in the butt.
