Butterflies are beautiful creatures that never cease to inspire creators around the world. Spaniard Alassie fell under their fragile charm: she creates incredible costumes, capes and scarves that turn their owners into fabulous fairies with colorful insect wings. No magic — just a leap of imagination and a real skills!
Alassie was born and raised in Granada, Spain. Her mother is a seamstress by profession, so the girl was acquainted with various types of creativity from an early age: she wove carpets, painted silk, learned to work with natural dyes on fabric. After studying at Granada art school, Alassie decided to devote her life to fashion and graduated from the faculty of costume design for theater, film, opera and TV in Instituto Europeo di Design. Now the girl has her own studio in Barcelona, which is called Costurero Real — "Royal tailor".
Alassie gladly demonstrates her own outfits in various photo shoots. But it seems to me that these two photos reveal the work of the artist in the best way – there is always a bit of magic and a lot of work:
Among the many outfits and accessories created by Alassie, you can find very unique ones — for example, here is a dress that embodies the violet flower:
But still the main theme in the work of the designer is, of course, the wings of moths and butterflies. Alassie chooses the most beautiful and mystical places as the background for photo shoots: forests, lakes, endless fields... And picturesque landscapes of Scotland and Norway. A fairy tale in reality, isn't it? :)
