About The Author
Stephen Laberge (Eng. Stephen LaBerge (born 1947) is a psychophysiologist, a leader in the study of lucid dreams, which he defines as a special altered state of consciousness in which a person realizes that he is dreaming and can control the course of its flow.
Born in 1947 in Rutherland, Arizona, USA. After receiving a bachelor's degree in mathematical science from Arizona State University, at the age of 19 he entered graduate school at Stanford University, majoring in chemical physics, but in 1969 he went on academic leave.
Returning to the university in 1977, he began to explore the human psyche. One of the directions was the study of everything related to sleep. Already in 1980 he received a PhD in psychophysiology. In 1987, he created the Lucidity Institute (Lucidity Institute).
