Recommendations for the use of.
The ceramic glazes of the CV-PG series are developed by the manufacturer and are recommended for use with products made of ceramic masses Acar PG-05 (granules) and Acar PV-05 (vacuum bodies) and fired at a temperature of 930 ° C.. When applying glazes with other ceramic masses, it is possible to change the color and the appearance of undesirable effects, therefore it is necessary to conduct preliminary testing.
The following methods of applying glaze to the product are recommended: dipping (dipping); spraying (spraying); brush (swab, toothbrush, finger, etc.) and watering. A combination of methods is possible.
Before starting glazing, mix the glaze thoroughly until the precipitate, which may form due to its storage in a stationary state, is completely dissolved. The insulation products to be glazed should be thoroughly dust-free.
When glazing by dipping, select a container and fill it with glaze so that the glazed products are completely immersed, without touching the walls and bottom of the container. Glazing is carried out using special forceps. The manufacturer recommends immersing the products in the glaze for 2-3 seconds.
Glazing by spraying is carried out in special cabins (chambers) equipped with a dust removal system (water curtains, air filters, cyclones, etc.). As an airbrush, the manufacturer recommends using a HUBERT RP20100 spray gun with a nozzle diameter of 0,8 mm, a recommended inlet pressure of 1,5-3,0 bar and an upper tank of 250 ml. Glaze is applied in 3 layers with intermediate drying of products between applications.
To glaze with a brush, use the glaze modifier "for brush 2.0", S-4747 ("Ceramics Laboratory") Information about the modifier can be obtained on the manufacturer's website:
Before transferring the glazed products for firing, carefully rub off the drips and pricks, thoroughly wash with a sponge with water from the glaze of the place of contact of the product with the oven shelf (bream). Before placing the products in the oven, dry them in the oven room for 12 hours.
