Hi!)))
I'm glad to see you in my store! My name is Tanya Cherkas. I live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world - Ukraine. I was born and grew up in a picturesque Ukrainian village. Now I live in a city that is took the name of Dnipro River.
Like all of us, I am a child of nature. In this nature I draw strength and inspiration. It's not an accident that for creative work I chose natural clay. My hobby for modeling started in my childhood, but consciously I returned to him in adulthood, in 2002. From the very beginning I knew that this is not just a hobby! This is my self-expression and my life.
For 15 years now I have been creating and improving in this sphere. Gradually I found my style and theme. Since I love to draw, fairy tales, nature, history, I managed to combine all this in my work. I like creating stories from clay. My little animals live, create, make friends, dream, sad, love, read books, drink tea by the fireplace, celebrate family holidays, relax in nature and play ...
Nature is a great helper. I like to work with natural material: on my desktop you can find stacks of wood, acacia spines, bark of trees, leaves, dried flowers, roots, inflorescences, different bumps. I often wander around the park, sometimes in the woods in search of new impressions, textures and natural materials, getting energy and inspiration.
Clay is an amazing material! It prints anything! She is alive, practical, plastic, obedient in the hands of the master. The finished after moulding product needs drying, and then in the firing at a temperature of 1000 C degrees. After firing the clay turns into a ceramic, it changes color from dirty-gray-green to a delicate pinkish-corpulent. Clay has almost no smell, it is ecological, suitable for working with children.
I try to create in a natural rhythm, creating collections corresponding to the seasons. I like to bring a fairy tale into the real world, and the real world into a fairy tale.
In my store you can buy finished products, and you can order a repetition of the work that you liked. But even if you have to repeat, the figure turns out to be special, unique.
Write to me if there is interest and questions. I'm happy to talk with you)) And maybe you have a story that I can translate into clay?
